Renovar a Mouraria is seeking for migrant and non-migrant children and adults, from 8 to 80, to integrate a unique orchestra of percussion, sound exploration and voice. Batucaria will be a unique space of gathering and sharing of different cultures and traditions where everyone is welcome.
The rehearsals will be every Saturday from 25 January 2020, between 3pm and 5pm, at Clube Desportivo da Mouraria, and no prior musical knowledge is required. The main themes of Batucaria rehearsals will be:
- Musical composition
- Playing with percussion instruments among others
- Creation of instruments out of the box
- Body movement and percussion
- Stories and voice
