Intimate Bridges performances highlights the importance of co-creation and intimacy, bringing together migrants and non-migrants, professionals and non-professionals, engaging people and communities in experiencing, enjoying and performing arts and culture.
The performances were co-produced among partners and every partner invited artists from other partners’ team to join their production via artistic residences in each country.

ASSOCIAÇÃO RENOVAR A MOURARIA | PORTUGAL

The artistic residence was conducted by Carla Costa, from Renovar a Mouraria, with the presence of Davide D’António, from IDRA, and took place between 6th and 17th of July 2020. Renovar a Mouraria held 3 performances, 2 live concerts, 1 online concert, produced one literary magazine plus a youtube channel with homemade videos with stories and music from around the world, engaging 31 migrants and non-migrants, from 23 different nationalities during the pandemic.

ENTROPIA | GREECE

Entropia presented the performance ”How a Place becomes a Person…” between 17th and 20th of June 2021 at COMMUNITISM Cultural Centre (Terrace), in Athens. Marilli Mastrantoni and her collaborators utilized the tools of documentary and devised theatre, creating a show seeking to examine the “place” where people and their stories intersect.

IDRA | ITALY

3 performances were carried out in June/July 2020 and involved young people with 12 different nationalities. Residenza IDRA also presents their performance Otherness at the Wonderland Festival 2021, in Brescia. The dates of the performances are: 29th of November, 19.30, 2nd of December, 22.00, 4th of December, 19.00, and 5th of December, 20.30.

STAND 129 | AUSTRIA

The production of the performance “Wo ist die Sonne im Westen?” had a total of 5 shows, in October 2020, in the form of a station theatre with eight performances each. The residency of the Portuguese artist Nuno Cintrão was carried out online and with the support of Carla Costa. It was produced several postcards with quotations from the workshops, as well as posters, photos and a video. The team also produced an exhibition in stand129 where artifacts from the workshops and the performances are presented.
