Associação Renovar a Mouraria developed its Artistic Residency from July 6th to 17th, produced and led by Carla Costa, with the participation of 11 migrants from Brazil, Cape Verde, Japan, Nepal, Romania, Pakistan, Russia, Syria, Ukraine, in a co-production with Residenza IDRA. The Artistic Residency had the special participation of Davide d’Antonio, from IDRA, and Frederico Furtado.
The work was based on a video collection project of stories and music from around the world, involving 31 migrants and non-migrants, from 23 different nationalities. All participants that took part in the residence participated in this collection process.
During the residence the collective explored the territory of languages and silence through prose, poetry, music, choreography, sign language and storytelling approaches.
